TST (TECO Smart Technologies Co., Ltd.), a 100% owned subsidiary of TECO (teco.com.tw), is a supplier and global vender of credit cards and personalization certified by both VISA International and Master Card, as well as a total solution provider of relevant technologies of smart cards in Taiwan.
TST (formally called GD TECO) was founded by a joint venture of TECO and G&D (Giesecke & Devrient GmbH) in 2000. Since 2007, TST has become a wholly owned subsidiary managed by TECO. In 2001, TECO successfully won the bidding of Taiwan government’s National Health Insurance Card Establishment Plan. In 2002, TST manufactured 24 million (24,000,000) Health Care IC Cards and had them delivered to every single card holder by the courier. This project set the world record of the largest number of IC cards produced in the shortest period of time. In addition to manufacturing smart cards, TST also provided the related hardware, software and the applications of the Information Data Center of said project.
